Allen Bodner - New York Attorney in Real Estate and Commercial Law

Allen Bodner is an attorney practicing in New York City with a focus on real estate, partnerships, corporations, and related litigation. He has worked both independently with a support staff and in association with smaller firms. For more than 20 years, Attorney Allen Bodner has also served as counsel to Cammeby’s International Ltd., a real estate company on the East Coast, while continuing his private practice.

Attorney Bodner has handled cases that have contributed to interpretations of contract and commercial law. In Fischer v. Massachusetts Casualty Insurance Company, he argued for the application of an incontestable clause to pre-existing but undiscovered conditions in health insurance. In Bazak International Corp. v. Mast Industries, Inc., the New York Court of Appeals addressed the scope of Article 9 of the UCC. He has also represented clients in landmark art, trademark, and partnership disputes, as well as in bankruptcy proceedings and shareholder derivative actions.

Outside of his legal work, Mr. Bodner has been active in community and educational roles. He served as president of Young Israel of Flatbush and Yeshivah of Flatbush, authored publications such as When Boxing Was A Jewish Sport and taught as an adjunct professor of law at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He has also lectured on topics such as Jewish Supreme Court justices and the Dreyfus Affair. He earned both his bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor from Columbia University.
